Introduction:

When Pioneer Junior High School was opened in 1957, it was considered one of the community's jewels. During the intervening years, Pioneer has gone through many changes. Time has taken its toll on the physical plant, but because of the staff, students, and parents, we believe it retains its lustre. We became a middle school in 1984 and now serve grades 6-8. This change also brought about changes in educational philosophy and program. What has not changed, however, are our students. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students to learn the academic and citizenship skills which will enable them to be successful. We hope you will enjoy this brief journey into our past. Enjoy!
