| There are two main tasks that students work on in reading. The main activity is simply reading! The class is divided into groups of three or four. With a teacher, they take turns reading novels aloud. The second task is a computer program, Academy of Reading. The program helps students focus on letters and letter patterns. | The only materials needed are a pencil and a binder with paper. I also ask students to bring any other work with them, as periodically I will allow time to work on general education assignments. | Students are expected to be to class on time, with materials. They are expected to read aloud in their group, and listen when others are reading. I do not tolerate any kind of put downs or belittling towards any student. |
