Marching band

The Pioneer MS Marching Band is an extension of the Grade 7 & 8 Concert Band.   The program enjoys a long history of excellence.

The band typically marches in the Veteran’s Day parade in November, as well as the Wenatchee Apple Blossom Youth Parade and the Manson Apple Blossom Parade later in the spring.  All members are expected to participate!

Students learn the fundamentals of marching.  Two performance pieces are memorized earlier in the year.

Proper marching attire is known as “marching whites:” white pants, white socks, white shoes and the gold Pioneer Band polo shirt.  Students need to purchase their pants, socks and shoes.  The band shirt is provided by the band program and checked out  to students at the beginning of the year.
