Primary Source Documents

Primary sources are directly related to an issue or event.  They are first-hand accounts, or materials in use during the event or time in question.  Keep in mind that every text has potential for bias and hidden agendas.

Their introduction says “The following is a massive collection of the literature and documents which were most relevant to the colonists' lives in America. If it isn't here, it probably is not available online anywhere.” The time frame is from Classic literature through 1799.
