ABOUT Mrs. Dieringer:
In 1983 I graduated from Wenatchee High School. I began my college career that fall at Central Washington University. Between my sophomore and junior year of college, I married my sweetheart Daniel. We made our home in Wenatchee, so I commuted to Ellensburg every day for two years to finish college. Graduation was postponed one quarter because my husband I and welcomed the birth of our first son Benjamin in May of 1987.
I graduated from Central in December of 1988 with a degree in Education, majoring in Home and Family Life and minoring in Coaching. In January of 1988, I began working in the Wenatchee School District as a substitute teacher. We welcomed our second son, Adam, in August of 1989. I began my Master's degree in Education through Central Washington University during January of 1991. Our first daughter, Anna, joined our family in May of 1991. I finished my Master's degree in August of 1992 and was hired at Pioneer Middle school the same month. Our last child, Sarah, joined the Dieringer family in March of 1995. I completed my Physical Education and Health Endorsements through the Office of Public Instruction in 1997.
In September of 2007, my son Ben married a wonderful young lady named Jennifer. They are currently stationed at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Florida. They welcomed daughter, Jacquelyn Marie, in June of 2008. Of course, my granddaughter is the cutest baby you have ever seen:) My lovely daughter in law and granddaughter will spend some time in Wenatchee begining fall of 2008 while my son Ben is deployed to Iraq.
I currently teach one period of PE and 5 Healthy Living. I am WSD Health and Fitness Team Leader for grades 6-12, Specialist Team Leader at Pioneer as well as the Co-Facilator for our Learning Improvement Team. I love what I teach because it is so interesting and so relevant to our daily lives. In the spring of 2004, I finished training to become a certified First and CPR teacher through the American Heart Association. Beginning the fall of 2004, students in Healthy Living will go through all of the training to get the First Aid/CPR card.
My husband, family and faith bring me the most joy in my life. We love to travel as much as possible and have driven (in our motor home) to every state except Alaska and (surprise) Hawaii. We have also traveled extensively through Canada. My husband and I took a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico for our 20th anniversary. I volunteer as a 2nd grade religious education teacher through my church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. In my spare time I love spend time with my family, read, garden, go for hikes, make jewelry and SHOP.
